SPEAKING
AND WORKSHOPS

Words Create Worlds

This workshop introduces Five Essential Conversation Skills and the neurochemistry cocktails of conversations. It will give answers to questions like:
  • What makes some conversations, even if they’re difficult ones, feel good?
  • How can I overcome my gut instinct to run from a conversation and instead shape it into a positive outcome?
  • How can I get someone to consider my point of view?
  • What can I do to shift a person from resisting me to partnering with me?
Our emotional intelligence also continues to develop and strengthen throughout our lives. When we are more aware of it and are intentional in its development, we have access to more choices. We also literally affect the transformation of our minds as new pathways are established and patterns change. As a result, we manage ourselves with more positive impact in our world.

During the workshop, participants will...

  • Learn simple neurochemistry principles of conversations.
  • Learn about the 5 Essential Conversation Skills and practice all of them.
  • Identify priority relationships in which to begin practicing the skills.
You will get tools that you can use immediately. Turn around your world of words and make a positive impact on all of your relationships and the cultures in which you work and live.

Words Create Worlds is based on the larger body of work known as Conversational Intelligence. It can be a ½ day workshop or expanded to a full day to offer more anchoring of the skills and apply them to conversations considered “difficult” “crucial” and “adversarial”. Adjusting it to a shorter time frame reduces the number of skills that can be practiced.
